Is Cuba Gooding Jr being pursued to play Tiger Woods in an upcoming film?
Golfer Tiger Woods’s fall from grace is proving attractive fodder for Hollywood. Oscar winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr is lined up to play the shamed sportsman in a biopic.
Hollywood producers want to tell the story of the married father-of-two, who has been linked to 14 different women in the past two months, in a made-for-TV movie reported Daily Star online.
Cuba may resemble Tiger Woods a bit, but I am not sure if it is the right fit. He is an award winning actor, I think the script would have to be extraordinary to fulfill an actor of Cuba Goodings acting ability and raise his star power again. He was excellent in “Jerry Maguire“, the biopic “Men of Honor“, and “Radio” but he has some flops, in recent years, such as: “Dirty“, “Shadowboxer“, and “Norbit“.
Tiger’s golf beginnings began when he was just a toddler but he led a pretty normal life, attending college at Stanford, until he started playing golf professionally. He then became a member of an illustrious group of golfers such as Jack Nicholas and Arnold Palmer.
“It will make a great movie as people love to see someone fall from the top and try to pick up the pieces of their life. Tiger’s scandal just proves the world’s biggest sportsman is human,” said a source.
Hmmm. Is it a good fit for both Cuba and the movie. Only time will tell.
