Entertainment Weekly just named Rihanna‘s Rated R album the BEST album of 2009. She is a great artist and has a fashion style no other artist can touch, but there were other albums in 2009 that were more deserving than Ri Ri.
Maybe people were sympathetic over Rihanna’s domestic incident. Her interview on 20/20 was beneficial to many woman in domestic abusive relationships. Unfortunately, this was not the initial purpose of the interview. Her album was conveniently released that following week of the interview. Rihanna’s controversial video “Russian Roulette” debuted on prime time television in exchange for her interview.
According to Hip Hop Wired.com:
“As a young woman that has catapulted due to the media frenzy, why not use it as a catalyst to achieve something greater outside of herself?
So, is America dictating their opinion of the actual product or is it being over-saturated with sympathy?”
She never took the domestic abusive situation and used it to reach out to battered women or supported any programs against domestic abuse after the interview. This definitely would have catapulted her into another realm. A humanistic approach with many of her fans who have experienced the same thing.
Right now she is screaming out for attention by posing semi-nude.
Who knows if the voters actually rated her album or her situation.
Gotta love this post!
if every editor wrote like you believe me the world would be a better place! this was an excellent read expecting more!
Some friends told me about this site, and now i
I don’t know what all of the fuss is concerning Rihanna browsing a sex shop. It’s legal, it is a free country and she should be able to do what she wants to.
