According to The Boston Globe, Mark Wahlberg doesn’t like living down the street from the world’s hottest soccer star. Wahlberg recently told writer Jon Wilde, of the Daily Mail in London, that his Beverly Hills neighborhood has become far less private ever since David and Victoria Beckham moved in with their family. “I’m not telling Beckham to take his family home,” Wahlberg told the Daily Mail, of his famous neighbor. “I’m just not sure why he came to America in the first place. Man, we don’t want your soccer. There’s no way Americans are going to buy the idea of 90 minutes of running around without much happening. Thanks for trying guys, but we’ll stick to baseball and basketball.”
David Beckham’s total earnings in 2008 were $42.7 million. Soccer may not be as popular as baseball and basketball in the US, but enough people attend the games, especially to see him.
